What’s the big deal about requiring voters to prove their identity before voting?

Again, Virginia is a battleground state. Again, we are swamped with Cable, Radio, and TV ads for various candidates. By election time many folks could care less about the election. Most feel their votes won’t matter! If you talk to the older folks they resent all the calls and adds. Many feel pressured to vote for a specific party. My Mom simply tells them its none of their business and hangs up. GO Mom!

naturally there is a big push to make sure people are registered. Often those making the push are from out of state.  I know from personal experience and observation, last election, Id’ s weren’;t validated. Nor was it verified if a person was already registered. Now folks are crying foul over voter id being required. Folks say it hurts the elderly and blacks especially. I say bulls$*! People need an id to do banking or get a drivers license although I will concur many folks in those two aforementioned groups don’t drive  or have a license. But, there is no big deal with the id requirement for voting.  For $%.00 you can get a state ID card. If you don’t have $%.00 bucks I have heard concessions are made foe those in need.  Both of these groups rely on services from Social Services. They require ID’s. How many people do you know who doesn’t have a cell phone. Electric bills , etc. show residence..

Sp let’s cut out all the prejudice crap and move on to the truth. Some folks simply don’t want to obey the same rules as the majority. There  always see themselves as victims, therefore they “are victims by choice!”  Some people just like to complain . Who knows or cares why! Bottom line require id’s and enforce the law evenly and fairly!! Seems to me only those guilty of fraud holler the most!! Looking back on our history I see there have been many questionable elections and people outside of America trying to influence our votes! There is no shortage of crooks in America.

  1. Freedom, by the way said

VA sent every registered voter a new voter registration ID card. That card can be used as an ID to vote instead of a liscense, etc. Personally, I don’t like that because the voter registration ID card does not have a photo so there is more opportunity for fraud.
